Learn Complete Character ‘Out-of-Kit’ & Prosthetic Make-Up FX Applications for Film, TV, Theater, Cosplay, & Haunt from the Professional MUFX Artists of Kosart Studios.
We believe that today’s Make-Up Artist, whether for film, television, theater, haunted attractions, music videos, and cosplay needs to be able to do it all, designing and applying professional 'out-of-the-kit' and prosthetic character and creature make-ups to their actors with proficiency and confidence. Learn to create believable age make-ups using 'stretch & stipple' techniques used by masters in the industry. Create naturalistic beards with the fundamentals of hair laying. Then, learn to properly and realistically apply bald caps and paint them to match the skin tone of the model. Finally, learn how to pre-paint, apply, blend, finish, and safely remove foam-latex prosthetics. Students will be working with the professional pre-made
character/creature foam-latex prosthetics sculpted and created by Kosart Studios. This masterclass will teach you the essential skills of complete character make-up design and application.
This 5-day masterclass will consist of demonstrations and HANDS-ON learning of techniques not taught anywhere else in the Midwest.

Students will learn in a Professional Special FX Studio setting and will learn from the Midwest’s leading Special FX Artists.

No experience necessary, this class is for beginners, hobbyists, and
professionals alike. We teach you what you need to know, from the beginning.
Class is open to all Adults, College Students, and High School students
16-years-old and older. No students accepted under the age of 16.
This is a POP-UP workshop & may not be repeated due to Kosart Studio’s schedule.
